HEALTHY SNACK:

  • Simply pour about 3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into a pot with a 3 tps of butter on medium/low heat
  • Add in marshmallows until they are creamy enough for your liking
  • Next once everything is mixed evenly add drops of dye (red or blue) to the pot
  • Once cooled enough to touch roll into a few separate balls of the size you desire
  • Repeat steps for the second color
  • Enjoy!
CAREER OF THE DAY:

The Fireworks & Special Effects Designer develops/executes pyrotechnic and special effects designs for live shows across property, including Parks, Resorts, Special Events and DISNEY CRUISE LINE®.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent experience in theatre with focus on special effects/pyrotechnics design or equivalent experience
  • 2 years experience in live show development with The Walt Disney Company
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Walt Disney culture
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:

You will need:

  • 2 paper plates
  • Red, white and blue paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Masking tape
  • Red and blue balloons
  • Large red popsicle sticks

 

Instructions:

  • Paint red, white and blue stripes on the curved side of two paper plates. Use different paint brushes for each color so you don’t have to constantly keep cleaning the brushes.
  • Allow the plates to dry. When they have dried, place a large, heavy book on top of them overnight to prevent them from curling up.
  • When that is done, use some masking tape to attach the large, red popsicle sticks to the backs of both plates
  • Blow up the balloons and you are ready to play!
