WORD OF THE DAY:

Determination:  (noun) a quality that makes you continue trying to do or achieve something that is difficult.

Your determination will make any challenge easy to overcome.”

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

-MOTHER TERESA
HEALTHY SNACK:

Juneteenth!

During “Peace, Love & Harmony Week” we are celebrating all things “Juneteenth!” Today Ms. Philecia is wearing red for love and our snack is celebrating blue!

CAREER OF THE DAY:

Today we are highlighting Mail Carriers for the United States Postal Service.

In 1775, the U.S. postal system was established by the Second Continental Congress, with Benjamin Franklin as its first postmaster general. Franklin (1706-1790) put in place the foundation for many aspects of today’s mail system.

USPS mail carriers deliver mail to homes and businesses in cities, towns, and rural areas. They travel planned routes, collecting and delivering mail, obtaining signatures, and answering customer questions about postal regulations and services. Mail may be delivered on foot or by mail truck, depending on the location.

The next time your see a mail carrier, stop them to day say “hello” and “thanks” for all of their hard work!

CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:

Today we are making a Be Kind Placemat

Decorate your placemat and use as a guide to help your family set the table

There are also great conversation starters in case you need them!
