WORD OF THE DAY:

Our friend Vanessa from the Greene County Unit is here to share the word of the day with us!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

-UNKNOWN
HEALTHY SNACK:

Who said there is no such thing as healthy delicious clouds? Grab yourself one banana and a hand full of blueberries. Make sure mom or dad help you cut up your banana for safety. Now create your weather for the day. Will it be partly cloudy or cloudy with a few showers of rain?

CAREER OF THE DAY:

Do you remember being excited when your local weather forecaster came to your school? When you watch the news does the weather forecast interest you? Consider a career as a meteorologist.  Meteorologists study the relationships between atmospheric characteristics and the environment.  They predict future weather conditions, study climate trends, track ozone levels, and study rainfall.

Median Salary: 92,460

CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:

At the Dr. Ledyard E. Ross, Ms. Eliana and Ms. Oriana are bringing the clouds to down from the sky to the members! The members are making Cloud Dough! It’s easy to make and very fluffy 😀.

Here is how you make it: just add 1 cup of corn starch to ½ cup of your favorite lotion. Knead it for 10 minutes at the least and feel the change!

PARENT RESOURCES:

Cloudy with a chance of Parent Resources

Your kids may hear tornado, thunder, blizzards and think OH MY! No need to fear. Click the links below for activities and videos that help teach your future radiologist about weather.
