Julie Cary is the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain. She has been with the organization since 2016.  While serving the entire organization, her primary role is to foster collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders to enhance existing programming in the areas of STEM, Literacy, Career Readiness and Work Force Development. She is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of the youth in eastern North Carolina by creating opportunities and exposure that they might not otherwise have.

Prior to her work with BGCCP, Julie worked for Pitt County Schools.  In 2016, after 32 years of experience as a teacher and principal, she retired.

Julie is married to David Cary, and they have a daughter Catherine.  As a family, they enjoy spending time together at the beach, in the mountains and enjoying Alabama Football. Roll Tide!!
