Maria Montemurro leads Human Resources for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain. She serves as a strategic partner to the leadership team to align HR goals to the organization’s mission. Key responsibilities include workforce planning; talent acquisition; implementation of recruiting/onboarding practices; overseeing adherence to company policies and procedures; enduring fair and equitable administration of wage and benefits plan; and managing change by supporting employee engagement and company culture initiatives.
Prior to joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain, Maria’s previous experience included executive HR leadership roles in the telecommunications, engineering, and renewable energy industries.
Maria is a graduate of Centenary College and Long Island Institute, and received her PHR certification from Farleigh Dickinson University. In addition, she is Hogan Level 1 certified and is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management.
Maria and her husband Don Mitchell live in Greenville, they have two adult children. She enjoys traveling to New Jersey to spend time with her parents, brother, extended family and friends.
